- select working, operating and auxiliary materials according to their properties, their intended use and the requirements of customers
- produce and use technical documentation
- plan and document working steps and working procedures relating to the manufacture of textile products
- conduct quality control checks and evaluate the results
- analyse sample patterns, specify construction techniques and product features, and make data carriers
- use sector-specific production techniques and analyse processes
- change product characteristics by modifying the process parameters
- make use of control and regulation techniques
- fit production machines and plants, set process parameters, check process sequences and initiate corrective measures
- service machines and plants, and rectify machine faults
- carry out quality assurance measures
- observe basic safety, health protection and environmental protection principles.
