- use textile finishing processes and consider the physical and chemical influences
- select testing procedures and devices and conduct quality tests
- specify physical values, conduct optical measurements and determine parameters
- calculate formulae and recipes, and test and improve recipes
- modify product properties by controlling and regulating the machines and systems
- select working, operating and auxiliary materials according to their properties, their intended use and the requirements of customers
- produce sketches and drawings and use technical documentation
- plan and document working steps and working procedures relating to the finishing of textile products
- fit production machines and systems, set process parameters, check finishing processes and initiate corrective measures
- service machines and systems
- carry out quality assurance measures
- take ecological and environmental requirements into account
- observe basic safety and health protection principles at work.
