Field of activity
Systems electronics technicians work in the development and production of components, devices and systems and provide services.
They work independently, take economic and environmental concerns into consideration and observe the relevant technical regulations and coordinate their work with the preceding and following activities. They often work as part of a team. They are qualified electricians within the meaning of the regulations for the prevention of accidents.
Occupational skills
Systems electronics technicians:
- advise and attend to customers and analyse the required functionality as well as ambient technical conditions;
- design components, devices and systems;
- design electronic circuits and draw up production documents;
- produce models and one-off products; select, adapt and assemble mechanical, electrical and electronic components to produce devices and systems;
- install and configure programmes, test components, devices and systems and draw up technical documentation;
- program interface;
- plan and control production processes;
- set up, program, optimize and maintain production equipment and test systems;
- optimize production processes;
- repair devices and systems;
- also work with English-language documents and communicate in English.
