I. Stage Carpentry
2100 Hours
Construction and repair of scenery, stage set ups and tear downs,
painting of scenery, use of hand tools, uses and movement of scenery
under show conditions.
II. Stage Lighting and Electric
900 Hours
Wiring and repair of temporary stage cables and plugs. Temporary
installation of stage lighting systems, maintenance of lighting and related
equipment, use of follow spot lights, and other electrical apparatus under
show conditions.
III. Stare Properties
150 Hours
Acquiring, building and repairing props, set decorating, use of props
under show conditions.
IV. Stage Wardrobe
75 Hours
Construction and repair of costumes, handling and cleaning of
costumes, use of theater makeup and costumes under show conditions.
V. Stage Rigging
300 Hours
Rigging scenery, repair and maintenance of rigging system.
Use of rigging equipment and systems under show conditions.
VI. Stage Audio
75 Hours
Wiring and maintenance of audio cables and plugs, sound system setups
and strikes, uses of microphones and sound equipment under show conditions.
VII. Audio Visual
120 Hours
Setups, strikes and uses of audio/visual equipment such as: opaque,
overhead, slide, 8mm, 16mm, 35mm, and 70mm projectors, screens
and media. Repair and maintenance.
VIII. Special Effects
150 Hours
Construction and repair of sound, lighting, makeup, laser, pyrotechnics
and other physical effects.
IX. Exposition and Sporting Events
600 Hours
Setup and strike of Boxing Rings, pipe and drape display booths,
and other sporting events.
X. Television, Motion Picture, Video
30 Hours
Location situations for all areas.
