PLASTIC PROCESS TECHNICIAN

DESCRIPTION: Oversees all processes involved in the manufacturing of plastic injection molded products such that improvements in the areas productivity, cost reduction, scrap reduction, mold try-out and training are achieved: Checks all machines and tools daily for correct molding parameters and dies setting. responsible for process sheets and cycle cards. Studies methods of processing all jobs. Troubleshoots jobs and processes procedures. Monitors scrap rates. Develops, recommends and implements corrective action to improve efficiencies. Coordinates sampling of new tool activity with engineers. Maintains tools repair reports. Performs minor tool repair. Must have working knowledge of machinery, including hydraulics, electrical and solid state components and secondary equipment such as grinders, trim presses, and chillers. May be involved in production control, end of run meetings and quality planning.
