Painters and varnishers carry out their work independently and in a customer-oriented manner on the basis of work orders, plans and designs, both alone and as part of a team. They coordinate their work with other crafts and trades. They plan their work, set up workplaces, determine the work steps, necessary material and components, and take measures for safety and health protection on the job as well as environmental protection in the workplace. The talk with customers, check their work for errors, document their work, carry out quality assurance measures and deliver the work to the customer. They record time and material expenditure and calculate the services provided.
