MAINTENANCE MACHINIST (INDUSTRIAL FOUNDRY)

I Performs machine repair and machining operations under the direction
of the journeyman machinist or supervisor, practicing fundamentals to
machine repair and to machining operations, including basic math computations,
use and interpretations of calipers, vernier gauges, micrometers, and other
measuring devices reading and interpreting blueprints and machine sketches,
safe and proper use of various hand tools and small portable power hand
tools. Perform machine tool works commensurate with experience and training.

II Use of above knowledge and practice in making routine and minor repairs,
installation, overhaul, and preventative maintenance procedures. Become
more familiar with all types of machinery such as: casting machinery, cranes,
annealing ovens, pipe finishing equipment, cement lining equipment, and
other machines in our operation. Perform machine tool works commensurate
with experience and training.

III Continue to develop skills and knowledge working with pumps, compressors,
and all types of hydraulic and air systems relative to all types of equipment
and machinery in facility – such work to range from preventative maintenance
routines to complete breakdowns and overhaul of same including diagnosing
and trouble shooting as necessary. Perform machine tool works commensurate
with experience and training.

IV Continue to gain experience in the safe and proper use of all types of machining
equipment in facility such as: lathes; shapers; milling machines; etc., working
with forgings and castings; bar stock; plates; iron; brass; other metals and
alloys, babbitt; micarta; cutting oils and lubricants, and other related materials.
Perform machine tool works commensurate with experience and training.

V Combine use of all skills and knowledge acquired in meeting requirements
of the maintenance functions of the facility to perform problem diagnosing;
repair; overhaul and installation in connection with all types of breakdowns.
