PURPOSE:
To inform the Office of Apprenticeship Training, Employer and Labor Services(OATELS) and Bureau of Apprenticeship and Training Staff (BAT) of twenty-one (21) new military specific Apprenticeable Occupations: Air National Guard New Apprenticeable Occupations
BACKGROUND: OATELS, Dennis Underwood, ATR, on behalf of the Indiana Air National Guard, initiated this apprenticeability request for ninety-two (92) occupations used by the Indiana Air National Guard. The occupations were cross referenced by job description, RAIS Code, O’Net/SOC Code and the list of Apprenticeable Occupations. Of the ninety-two (92) occupations, seventy-one (71) were classified as currently Apprenticeable and twenty-one (21) as new Apprenticeable occupations. A Master Listing of the Air National Guard occupations, Job Descriptions, Work Processes and Related Instruction can be accessed on the OATELS Collaborative Workspace (www.internal.doleta.gov) or by contacting Charles Vaughan or Walter Collins in the National Office, or Dennis Underwood in Indiana. ACTION: All OATELS staff should review and retain a copy of this bulletin, including all related material, as a source for developing apprenticeship standards and/or providing technical assistance. |
