Field of Activity
Industrial insulators (m/f) insulate pipes, tanks, fixtures, ceilings and walls against heat, cold and noise, mainly in large industrial facilities such as chemical plants, refineries, power plants, waste incineration plants or on ships. They build and mount the necessary support and bearing systems, select the insulating materials, apply these using various techniques and encase them with sheet metal or other materials. Industrial insulators (m/f) also fit noise-proofing and fire-proofing insulation in buildings and technical installations.
Industrial insulators (m/f) are able to carry out their work independently, working alone or in teams on the basis of technical documentation. They are also capable of assessing the amount of work entailed by a job and ensure that the work process runs smoothly by consulting with other trades.
