Occupational Skills
Builders of stoves and air heating systems are responsible for:
- designing and constructing tiled stoves and plastered stoves, ovens, hand-crafted kitchen stoves and fireplaces
- planning, producing and assembling hot air central heating installations, ventilation installations, electric storage heating, oil, gas and solid fuel burners, central heating oil supply systems and chimneys
- assembling industrially produced fireplaces and connecting them to chimneys and supply systems
- assembling panel heating installations, in particular hypocausts
- installing heating and chimney inserts with hot water heat exchangers, including the regulation controls
- planning and controlling working procedures, checking and evaluating work results and applying quality management instruments
- mounting and dismantling pipe conduits, ducts and stove and air heating installation components
- installing and checking electric subassemblies and components, as well as regulating, controlling, safety and monitoring equipment, and setting the default values
- checking the functions of the stove and air heating installations, adjusting them and putting them into operation
- providing customer services and conducting inspections and maintenance work
- providing advice and support for customers with regard to company products and services, taking technical, ecological and economic aspects into account
- handing over stoves and air heating installations and systems to customers, and providing an introduction to using the installations
