Aircraft mechanics (m/f) work in the manufacture, repair, inspection and maintenance of aircraft and their operating gear and are employed by aircraft manufacturers, aircraft fitters, airlines and the armed services. They also have an important function with respect to aviation safety.
Aircraft mechanics are employed in component production, assembly, on test beds, in development and testing and in the repair and maintenance of aircraft and aviation equipment.
