- An Employer Guide to Hiring Veterans was released by U. DOL, Veterans’ Employment and Training Service. The guide helps in connecting employers to transitioning service members and veterans, by highlighting accurate information and demographics about veterans, sharing resources for employers to facilitate veteran employment, and offering recommendations on attracting, training, and retraining veterans.

- Upskill Your Workforce: Galvanize Now Enrolling for TechSF Apprenticeship Program (Business Wire): The economic challenges caused by COVID-19 makes it even more important for employers to strengthen their organization without spending additional resources. Thanks to a new Data Analyst Apprenticeship program, employers can not only strengthen their business’ capabilities, but get paid to do so.
- UWA First University in Alabama to Become Registered Apprenticeship Sponsor (Demopolis Times): The University of West Alabama (UWA) is the first university in the state to be recognized by the Alabama Office of Apprenticeship as a Sponsor for Registered Apprenticeship.
- Beth Haven to Offer Apprenticeship Program (Courier Post): The executive director of the Hannibal Regional Economic Development Council has announced that Beth Haven Nursing Home is a new U.S. Department of Labor registered apprenticeship program sponsor.
- ‘Earn and Learn’: Skilled Trades in Need of Workers During Pandemic (TMJ4 Milwaukee): With tens of thousands of people unemployed, skilled trade advocates encourage people to consider a career change and state that apprenticeship is a way to do so.
- Job Training Apprenticeship Program for Low-Income Individuals Expands to Tucson (KOLD News 13): A tuition-free trade school helping low-income community members is expanding in southern Arizona as Sigma College University Trade School offers housing to people going through job training, receiving a pre-apprenticeship education with a guaranteed apprenticeship placement.
- Zurich North America Brings Apprenticeship Program to New York City (Insurance Journal): Zurich North America is expanding its professional apprenticeship program from its Chicagoland headquarters to its downtown New York City office this fall. Its earn-while-you-learn apprenticeship program is designed to attract diverse talent to the insurance industry while providing a debt-free path to a professional career.
