- AAI grantee JFF released a brief, Transforming IT Training Programs into Successful Career On-Ramps, that offers recommendations for IT training providers to strengthen their work and more successfully connect participants to career advancement opportunities.
- S. Department of Labor (DOL) COVID Guidance: COVID guidance for apprenticeship grants and contracts, including for the AAI cohort, is now published on DOL’s COVID webpage. Topics include:
- How can grantees encourage their Registered Apprenticeship program to keep apprentices employed during the COVID-19 crisis?
- For AAI grantees, what are the expectations for employer outreach and activities, which normally require meeting with people?
- Can AAI grantees modify the budget and activities to build new capacity that is more resilient to emergencies like COVID-19?

- New Efforts Unfold to Boost Apprenticeship Possibilities for Young Texans; ‘Significant Opportunity Here’ (The Center Square): The Texas Workforce Commission announced a $9M award from the DOL to help increase paid apprenticeships in a number of skilled professions.

- Duke Energy Awards Alamance Community College $179,000 (The Times News): Duke Energy has awarded Alamance Community College $179K to create new apprenticeships focused on adult learners in industrial technology.
