Apprenticeship Resources:
- S. Department of Labor (DOL) COVID Guidance: COVID guidance for apprenticeship grants and contracts, including for the AAI cohort, is now published on DOL’s COVID webpage. Topics include:
- How can grantees encourage their Registered Apprenticeship program to keep apprentices employed during the COVID-19 crisis?
- For AAI grantees, what are the expectations for employer outreach and activities, which normally require meeting with people?
- Can AAI grantees modify the budget and activities to build new capacity that is more resilient to emergencies like COVID-19?

- New Apprenticeship Program Looks to Meet Workforce Demand in DE (com): Organizations like the Delaware Restaurant Association have been able to create apprenticeship programs to provide people with the skill sets they need to work in the hospitality industry.
- HOA Community Management Apprenticeship Program off the Ground! (Denver Post): The industry’s first apprenticeship program for community association managers is intended to serve as a talent pipeline, matching industry-leading community management companies with highly motivated and trainable community association manager candidates.
- New Pre-Apprenticeship Program in New Rochelle Celebrates First Union-Bound Graduates (Westchester Journal News): The program was created out of a partnership between Pathways to Apprenticeship and Westhab with the New Rochelle Industrial Development Agency.
- Medical Assistant Apprenticeship Program Launches (Traverse City Record Eagle): A new medical assistant apprenticeship program has launched that is the first program for medical assistant apprenticeships in northwest Michigan.
- Mechatronics Apprenticeship Program Offers ‘Earn While You Learn’ Opportunity (com): In an unprecedented partnership, 3 local community colleges and 3 local companies have joined forces to develop a mechatronics apprenticeship program to address the shortage of mechatronics workers in advanced manufacturing.
- Oakton Collaborates to Create Firefighter Apprenticeship Program (com): Oakton Community College has established its first public service apprenticeship program, a partnership with Evanston Fire Department, allowing residents of Evanston to gain a career path in fire services tuition-free.
